Antibacterial Glaze with Silver Ions

The glaze used in KONTRA by Meissen Keramik washbasins contains silver ions, which inhibit bacterial growth on the surface by up to 99.8%. The nanoparticles are safe for both users and the environment. As the antibacterial agents are embedded within the glaze, they do not wear off, ensuring a long-lasting effect — with silver ions remaining active for up to 25 years.

Hydrophobic Coating

The hydrophobic coating applied to KONTRA by Meissen Keramik furniture and wall-hung washbasins offers a modern and convenient way to maintain a clean ceramic surface. It creates a water-repellent effect, causing water droplets to merge and run off more easily instead of adhering to the surface.
